The Douglas/Elbert Task Force announces the new name, Treasures on Park Street, for their retail store. The main difference for Treasures versus other retail thrift stores is that it directly supports the Douglas/Elbert community—revenue on donations that come from people in the community are kept in the community. Those funds used to support families and individuals who are in financial distress and at risk of becoming homeless. The Douglas/Elbert Task Force helps them work through troublesome times with dignity by providing essential services such as food, clothing and household items, utilities, rent, information/referrals and much more.   Our Mission: The Douglas/Elbert Task Force endeavors to meet the immediate needs of residents of Douglas and Elbert Counties who are in financial distress and at risk of becoming homeless, to help them work through troublesome times with dignity.

In 2010, the Task Force provided $919,515 in client assistance to those in need in our community.

 The Food Bank Needs Your Help!  Our shelves have never been emptier than they are right now.  We need food of any type, and can accept fresh and frozen food as well as non-perishables. PLEASE help us help those with the greatest need in our communities.
