We hold regularly scheduled special events to raise moneyfor our food bank and other emergency services.
Regularly scheduled Food Bank Fundraisers May 18th and October 19th, 2013: Electronic Recycling Event, a semi-annual event held at the Douglas County High School. This event allows for an environmentally responsible and secure way to recycle obsolete electronic equipment, audio/video components, televisions and small household appliances
October 26th, 2013: 9 Cares/Colorado Shares, King Soopers @ Castle Pines and Castle Rock (I-25/Founders Pkwy.) 7 am to 4 pm. All food donations go to the Douglas and Elbert County residents. Cash donations are always welcome! November 10th, 2013: Celebrate the Season Fundraiser, a holiday bazaar at Treasures on Park Street thrift store, 1638 Park St., Castle Rock, from Noon-4 pm. Seasonal decorations, gifts, attire and more. November 28th, 2013: The Turkey Rock Trot, a 5K run/walk. Douglas County Events Center. Sign up begins in October-this event gets bigger every year! November 9th, 2013: The Santa's Sharing Program connects sponsors with families in Douglas or Elbert Counties. Through the generosity of people like you, people willing to open your hearts and provide the resources necessary to make the holiday possible for those less fortunate. The holiday season can be particularly difficult for families facing severe financial challenges..
December 3, 2013: Colorado Gives Day is a one-day online fundraising initiative sponsored by Community First Foundation and FirstBank. Over $20,500 was raised through this campaign in 2012, an increase of 162% from 2011. Please consider donating to the Task Force through this effort as your gift will be boosted by FirstBank.
