The Mission of the
Douglas/Elbert Task Force is
to endeavor to meet the
immediate needs of residents
of Douglas and Elbert County
who are in financial
distress and at risk of
becoming homeless, to help
them work through
troublesome times with
dignity.
The
Douglas/Elbert Task Force
provides assistance with
rent, overnight lodging,
utilities, gasoline cards,
clothing, household items,
food and also considers
special requests.

Volunteer
Our Thrift Store
generated 36% of our total
revenue in 2008. We need
regularly scheduled
volunteers to sort, price,
hang and shelve donations
and to keep the Thrift Store
clean and tidy.
Volunteer in the Food Bank
Help inspect, sort and
shelve donations and assist
in preparing food orders for
clients.
Host a
Food Drive or Special Event
for the Task Force—be
creative!

Task Force,

wine
tastings of
over 20
wines, an
Art and Wine
Silent
Auction, and
live jazz.

pm, Plum
Creek Golf &
County Club,

per person.
